Why I Created EcoVeda
Like millions of Indian women, I watched my hair become increasingly thin, lifeless, and fragile after years of city pollution, chlorinated hard tap water, and harsh chemical styling.
When I turned to the market for solutions, I was appalled by the reality behind fancy green labels: 95% of commercial 'ayurvedic' oils were just cheap light liquid paraffin (mineral oil) blended with synthetic fragrance and less than 1% actual herb extract.
I turned to classical Ayurvedic texts—the Charaka Samhita and Ashtanga Hridaya. I began collaborating directly with small organic farmers in Maharashtra who cultivate native Bhringraj and fresh Rosemary. We resurrected traditional low-temperature cold pressing, refusing all shortcuts.
